Our favorite restaurant on the beach, there pizza is outstanding!
Absolutely... The best pizza.. stuffed mahi- mahi.. waaaaay good!!
AUTHENTIC... food, server personalities, other patrons! We had the nicest interactions while passing through this town. We were so pleased to be treated so well while dining in this ITALIAN BEAUTY! The food was AUTHENTICALLY ITALIAN! If were weren't hitting the road right afterwards, we would have opted to pair our meal with a nice bottle of wine! Maybe next time! Hoping the locals know what a gem they have within minutes!
I had one of the specials it was shrimp, clams, scallops and mussels over linguine with a spicy marinara sauce. It was delicious. The garlic bread was good. The atmosphere was cozy the service was good.
Service was slow all the servers were standing and sitting on their phones and talking. Our food was less than great there was hairsl in our bread that she said was cheese which it definitely was not and it was very disappointing in contrast to the St Pete location.
Shrimp Scampi with extra garlic was fabulous! Nice atmosphere, be prepared to relax as service is Florida vacation pace.
Really good food, flavor. Staff is nice. Menu chouces are plentiful. Location central to most hotels in St Pete Beach.
I would of given two stars but the waitress was super sweet & nice. & did a good job at serving us. & it’s the only place on st. Pete that I’ve seen decorated for Christmas. It was very cute!! The meat sauce tasted pretty weird. The Alfredo sauce looked like watery soup.. wasn’t very impressed. Specially what we got & the price was expensive specially for the quality of food being served.
Great staff! Great food! Nice wine selection
My wife likes their food; she likes the fettuccini alfredo. I'm not impressed. They advertised great pizza but I don't think it's special. I had lasagna and it wasn't worth getting twice.
Generous pours of the house wine. However, my enter - mahi-mahi topped with crab and asparagus was very bland.
One of the best meals and best service i have ever had. The end.
Service was kinda slow. I got the lasagna and it was ok but not great. I would probably try other Italian restaurants in the area before I went here again.
Not too impressed. At best the food is ok and the inside has not been updated in a long time. I wish them well, just trying to be honest about it.
Me and my wife tried to go here for dine in. Wait staff was rude and we left without eating. Ordered delivery the next evening to give them a try, thinking the food may be good based on reviews. Basically just tastes like they reheated frozen prepped food. Very bland and nothing to write home about. We were hopeful because locals recommended this place. We tried the manicotti with meatballs and chicken parmesan. Not impressed at all.
Great old school Italian family restaurant. Reminds me of the classic Mulberry street restaurants I'd frequent as a kid with my family in New York City.
Excellent service! Very strong flavor. Spegg is stronger tomatoe flavor. Meatballs are made with Italian sausage. Ravoli cooked perfect.
Great food!! Antipasto salad and Gigi's special doesn't get any better
Very nice family restaurant with great food, a great early bird menu
Overall this was a nice Italian with a good menu selection and well cooked food and it's worth a visit. However I believe in a fair review and would deduct 1 mark in total to give a 4 star review because of a sticky menu, slightly bland food on a couple of dishes, and a staff member that was erratic in her behavior. We've presume she has special needs so I won't be to critical on her behavior but guests were aware of her. The cleanliness though had room for improvement and the quality of food. Good but not quite worth 5 stars.
First time there we will be back great food very quint nice service
Drove to St Pete just for their pizza. Full menu, great food. We got there before they opened at 4:00, and even waited an hour for them to open. My husband ate there as kid, best Italian food on the beach.
Specials were very good. Service was also very good morning. Cesar salad was just ok.
Place looks filthy!! 4 times ate here and 4 times my stomach upset!! You can see all the employees right from the street standing in back smoking cigarettes. Not a nice visual when going to eat!! Smells like garbage walking next to the building. The pizza's are so soggy!! Have told them twice to cook longer. No, can't do that... needs to be cleaned, remodeled, food preparation better... can't recommend it here, sorry.
Great service, waitress named Mary treated us very nicely and the food was just amazing especially the pizza
Wow! My mom and I came here while we were on vacation. SO delicious! I got the chicken parm and she got spaghetti
Quaint little place. Tasty pizza and great dinner specials before 6:00pm.
This place has pros sand cons. I loved my fresh shrimp and the fresh catch of the day was amazing. But my daughters clam sauce was really odd and I found a hair in my salad. The service wasn’t great or overly attentive. I think if you order the right thing and don’t mind rather abrupt service it could be a win.
First time visit on 23 December 2019. Arrived around 930 pm on a rainy night. Friendly and quick service. The inside is quite red. We ordered a medium pizza and two single salads. Good food. Glad we stopped. We didn't know there is another location in treasure island until the waitress told us.They turned the exterior lights off 5 minutes before closing. The pizza was thin crust. Slightly burnt on the bottom alomg the circumstance...and some of the lettuce was core and not leaf... But overall everything was good.
First time dining here while visiting St. Pete Beach and was not disappointed.Had three different meals and all were very tasty.Reasonably priced and service was good.Advertises as 'Best Pizza Ever'!!
Delicious food- crowded - limited Principle.
My thoughts on a visit and review to Gigi's Italian Restaurant in St.Pete Beach, Florida on Wine Dine and Play:Gigi’s opened in 1967 on St Pete Beach and today has three locations run by the second generation of owners, offering simple comfort food Italian choices and wine. My wife started with a glass of Caposaldo chianti from100% handpicked grapes comprised with a blending of 75% Sangiovese, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 5% Malvasia while I had a glass of the Castle Rock Pinot Noir a 2016 Central Coast Pinot Noir. We came for an early dinner, taking advantage of the early bird and regular menu by splitting two entrees starting with the medium-sized pizzas and alfredo pasta. You can read the full review by visiting the Wine Dine and Play blog website.
Really cute place off of Gulf. Service was pretty good. Got food fast and waitress was attentive. Started with the mozzarella sticks which were super tasty and the marinara was great. Then got the bolognese and a pizza. Bolognese didnt really have much meat in it (traditionally a meat sauce) and the pizza was a little doughy. Also we were seated by the bathroom/kitchen door which kind of brought down the mood. I'd guess sitting up front would be a better experience. Went there on vacation but would recommend for others. Maybe just get there early enough to get a better seat. And they do provide bread, which for us didnt come until after our meal... so maybe know to ask for it in advance.
We were visiting the area for my birthday and I craved Gigi's stuffed mushrooms that I have loved a few times prior. When we went into the restaurant I mentioned we were here to enjoy the stuffed mushrooms on my birthday but the people said that they were no longer on the menu!! The manager, Holiday, said "I'll tell you what. You tell me a time later that you want them and I will have them for you." Which I did and we had a wonderful birthday dinner including the stuffed mushrooms! Yummm and thanks Holiday!!
Good food. Slow service. But for just coming back from a pandemic they were masked and gloved and adhering to CDC guidelines!
Very good. Extremely reasonable. Lots of food. Early bird special from 4 till 6
Tried to eat at this place tonight. 1 hour before closing. They said at capacity with 3 people inside. I hate that places use this to be lazy and not provide service. They simply wanted to be done on a slow night.
Overrated and overpriced! I've been looking forward to one their pizzas for the last month, definitely not worth the wait!! Small(Individual) pepperoni with small house salad cost me 25 and change with 3$ tip. I'll stick with Giuseppe's across the street, wish I did tonight...good pizza much better price.
Amazing Italian in a cozy atmosphere. Fresh tomatoes and spices make their sauce stand out and the large salad is great for a family to share. Parking is EXTREMELY limited, but well worth it if you can find a spot or are within walking distance.
Would not return. Frozen food in microwave would have been better. Had to find a manager when the waitress didn't return with our bill. Manager wanted us to go find her to get the bill. What a shame--used to be a nice place.
Enjoyed a very nice early bird dinner with friends tonight... Great taste and good value for a great old St Pete Beach restaurant.
Good Italian. No house wine.
Very nice clean place, small but cozy. Food was delicious and waitresses were great. Great place to bring a date.
We really loved this place.... outdoor sitting is available. The dining area is a bit on the small side but could easily accommodate a large party. The red decor through out the restaurant gives it a nice cozy feel. Our waitress was nice and the Pizza was delicious.... they don’t hold back on the cheese a big plus for us. Their menu offer a good mixture of options from shrimp cocktail, escargot and veal to Gluten Free pizza. Their house “Sangria” and “Garlic Cheese Bread” is a must try =o)
Very good food. Love eating at this St. Pete Beach location each time we are in the area. Special cheese bread is excellent and love the pizza.
Always great food. Early bird has good portions at a great price. Just wish they were open for lunch!
The Best Italian Food on the Beach.....And There Pizza is Fantastic. When I stay at St.Pete Beach Gigi's is a Must.
We were looking forward for a good Italian meal. The food was very bland! The meatballs were like sawdustballs. Mushy shrimp on our shrimp cocktail. Very disappointing! The service was very good. We felt bad for our server. She knew we didn't like our food. We tipped her very well anyway and hightailed out of there. Doggy bag went right in the first trash can we saw.
The Restaurant menu prices not the same what Google shows. When I asked they said nothing they can do . That’s ok but the lady on the phone have learned respect with the customer
